Why does Hollywood always put digital read outs on bombs?

Is someone going stand there next to to it to make sure it blows up at the specific time itended?

I think a better way would be just to go home and watch the news to see if it blew up on time don't you?

Pfffft Hollywood?

Right?

I had been considering this conundrum for quite some time.

The only answer I can come up with is, if they did not use digital read outs the budget for the movie would be like $1.47.

Personally, I'd use a digital countdown and have it set to go off at 12:35 left or something.

Analog bombs sound better than digital ones.

    They are more musically explosive.

Because the animal aid agencies won't allow them to use gophers near explosives.

Maybe if you took the signal out of the digital clock and passed through a mechanical clock just before the explosion … or possibly insert some sort of software plug-in that emulates a mechanical clock.
