Cloning tracks doesn't work
I'm trying to clone tracks, so i click on the track. right click select clone, select the number to two, hit ok, but then it sticks it in some random weird place amongst my tracks. In this case, it stick my audio clones into midi tranks way above the original track. Is this a bug? I'm starting to think either this is VERY buggy software, or I'm just a total dumb ass...

Cloning tracks is a very stable operation with X1.
I would call customer support...

Really? If I clone a track, the hit undo, x1 crashes and won't restart until I reboot. Tried customer support, on hold for eternity when it tells me it'll only 2 min...sigh...

Maybe I should mention that I'm trying to clone a frozen track with NI Gitar rig as an effect..?

Yes, working fine here also, even with FX in place, although I haven't tried with something frozen I admit.
My stuff Intel Sandy Bridge i7 2600 @ 3.4GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads, 16GB RAM.OS & Programs drive: 240GB SSD
Data drives: 1 x 1TB drive RAID mirrored, plus extra 1TB data drive
Windows 10 Home 64 bit

Just tried on other tracks, seems to work, just won't work on this one particular track. I'm going to upload a video to youtube to show you guys !!! It's crazy time around here with like nothing's working...

For audio tracks, I always insert an audio track, select the take I want to copy/clone, Right Click on it and "Copy". Then I just paste it on the track Im after. Never used the clone thing myself

I'm wondering if my I'm not properly updated. Although I downloaded all the updatesand thought I'd installed them, when I go to help, about, it reads SONAR X1 PRODUCER EXPANDED (BUILD 425) X64 ...shouldn't it say version b, c or d ? I thought I'd upgraded, would it say so here?

Ok, updated for build 535 which is I guess x1d...? (since that's the name of the patch I downloaded and installed.) Cross my fingers.

Didn't help this problem, another thing I noticed is that If I clone a track with a folder underneith, then it stick my clone in that folder and won't let me move it.

Well I'm ready to give up on this stupid piece of crap software. I just bought it yesterday, along with 3 f-ing videos, and I can't follow any of the examples on the videos because every second thing doesn't work....

If I delete the guitar rig AND unfreeze, it works, but it still sticks the new track in the underlying folder which is shockingly stupid but that might be the way it's intended to work I don't know yet.

I totally agree that folder thing is dumb and I hate it. I always have to put a 'ghost' track in, clone, then delete mr. ghost. It only happens when the track is last in the folder.

WTF? I guess learning a programs quarks is part of the curve, but I've got to say that I'd have paid 5 times more for x1 had it worked perfectly. Actually, 10 times more. It's not a question of money, for me anyway, I need quality, I need things to work, and so far this program appear to be as weird and unstable as my last one, Vegas and acid.
