In the year..
I have no idea what year..was a long time ago. I would save parts on the digital cassette tapes. The MXR distortion was a great one. The Korg tuner was cool because one could tune it. I would tune my guitar and then tune the tuner to it. By doing that it tuned my guitar to how I played. I was having to go through old storage and re-organize and thought some may enjoy. Here is a youtube of a guy that modified his....mine goes back in the box. ..

So, how did you make your drum machine sound like a drummer ... and was it really better than Keith Moon and John Bonham?

Oh ... snap. I thought this was going to be a thread about Zager & Evans. My bad. Sorry for the buffoonery.

Oh wow! I had one of those Korg tuners. I was typing as your pic was loading and didn't see it at first. I still have and use one of those flat RS recorders.

quantumeffect So, how did you make your drum machine sound like a drummer ... and was it really better than Keith Moon and John Bonham? It had a "humanize" function. I think that was Yamahas idea of buffoonery. I had a lot of fun with it and also did a tune for the local radio station that went over very well. I even used the claps LOL. So you see Bub...I don't mind buffoonery. Been dealing with it for decades.

Back in the '70's I had these. They cost the best part of £1000 then... You could have probably have bought all of Bapu's plug-ins twice over with the relative amount of money these days. They were basically just speakers acting as transducers in the pads driving 4 independent analog synth modules. There were very few usable sounds you could get out of them, even if you include the charactaristic over-used 'sneezing cat' sound but you could coax some really nice low sine wave subs out of them if you were careful. (e.g. Carly Simon's 'Nobody Does it Better' - Jeff Porcaro IIRC) They were actually quite nice to play with the dynamics being voltage controlled.

LOL You're welcome Rimshot! I have boxes of memories. Getting rid of a lot of old gear. I have rack units, amps, pedals that I'm giving to a friend-good for him and good for me to gain the space. A strobe tuner is on my list for my set-up bench. Bapu I hope you don't have to use it much with that bass. Craig I had a boat load of MXR stomps including the phase 90. I still have my Small stone phase and Morley vol. pedal. For the longest time my pedals were- the Morley, MXR dist. Small stone Vox wah (original made in Italy) I lost a lot of equipment along with other band members from being hit at a setdown gig. I always took my axe but they left theirs in the stands. The singer lost his 50 something model Tele in that hit. Man I remember how my stomach turned when we walked in and realized. Never found but at least I still had my goldtop. Jon I've never seen anything like that.

bapu I still have this one (somewhere) Got one of those sitting right here in front of me on my desk. I also have one of these ... (the unit on top). IIRC, it's the first guitar effects unit A.R.T. put out. Not my pic, it's leeched.

This is my main tuner (the 2000 has a much broader range than the 1000 and can tune basses, etc.). Anything that goes to the board can be tuned with it (by a separate send). My guitar rack has a TC Electronic G-Force that also has a tuner (and the Strobostomp on my pedal board if needed). However, when my guitars aren't connected to anything, I use one of these:
