Should I Delete 8.5

Recently installed X1 and am wondering if I should remove 8.5. I am having trouble installing Faderport and am wondering in this may have something to do with it. I have no reason to keep 8.5. Also, if i do un-install it what would be the best way to go about it so that i don't remove files that are in use by other programs.

    8.5 being on the computer shouldn't have anything to do with installing faderport.

    the reasons to keep 8.5 would be to keep the FX and softsynths which were included with 8.5 but not with X1.  I don't remember if there were or which ones they would be.

    another reason to keep it would be if you can't get a previous project to work in X1.

    I had to continue using 8.5 after installing X1 because of Guitar Rig 3.  GR3 only works in 32bit, so I kept using 8.5 with the GR3 on the projects I was using GR3 on and used X1 for new projects.

    I don't have faderport, but maybe someone else can help with that.

    what errors are you getting with installing faderport?
