Hey, who's watching movies tonight?
What's that movie with William Hurt in the South American prison? I remember it had dramatic lighting.

I watched American Gangster. (Denzel Washington, Russell Crow) I end up catching the beginning of that movie like once a year and leave it on. Entertaining flick. Mike

By the way "The Debt" was a pretty good movie, could have been better, but still worth the rental fee of $1.20 through RedBox.

We've started watching series when we were in Spain. Six Feet Under was the first one, and still my favorite. Rome was good. Boardwalk Empire's nice. Carnival was odd but cool. The Walking Dead - can't wait for the next season. And we've finally started watching Dexter this week - which we love! Probably my second favorite, after SFU.

He said something about it being the 75th anniversary of it. Not sure how new the show was. An interesting fact I never knew until watching Svengoolie last night, there was a Spanish version of the film, filmed on the set at night after the cast for the Engilsh one with Bela went home.

Yup. And it's an interesting one to watch. The spanish version is actually better, imho. Much more daring - and much less puritan. Dracula was Browning's first talking movie and he doesn't seem totally comfortable. But Lugosi redeems the whole thing. I always wished I could have a mix of both - a more daring version like the Spanish one but w/ Lugosi in it.

We did watch the Iron Lady last night. Good acting but the storyline was a too jagged IMO. Regardless of her politics you have to give a woman like that credit for advancing as far as she did.

SteveStrummerUK paulo Oops ! Try now. He he, classic stuff. Whatever became of Rob Newman? From what I remember he went all political, even becoming a "political activist" (whatever that is) and pretty much lost most of his audience. I think he still writes political stuff. I seem to remember reading that he and DB had always had a difficult relationship and eventually couldn't stand the sight of each other. Hard to imagine when they were so good together.
