X1 And FaderPort

I purchased a new Presonus FaderPort and cannot get it to work with X1 64Bit on Win 7. Has anyone been successful at getting this to work properly? Can it be done by simply downloading the drivers and following instructions or is there much more complication involved to get it to work? I have tried a number of times and have had no luck. I want something that is almost plug and play will this do it?

Thx

There are some threads about the Faderport issue here (there were even problems with 8.5, don't know about they've already been solved or not). I bought one, had no luck in getting it to work in X1, sold it, bought me a AlphaTrack and a Tranzport (almost a legend)and ne'er looked back. Maybe you look around in this helpful forum and find an answer or a solution. HTH Michael

Thx. That's what I was thinking of doing too, returning it and finding an AlphaTrack. I have gone through the other post's and still had no luck. Question; if I find a used AlphaTrack will I have a problem running it on Win7 64bit or can I just up-date the drivers on line.?

    Thx Again.....Jim

Look at the website of Frontier. There you'll find everything you need for installing the AlphaTrack properly under 32 and even 64bit Sonar. There are special advices for every DAW and how to..just follow the script carefully; it's a little bit tricky, but when i managed it, everybody will ;-) cheers Michael

I have a FaderPort and don't use it much. I did recently upgrade to Sonar X1 64-bit... I'll give it a shot tonight when I get home and see if I find anything useful. Peace, Tunes

Faderport is weird with X1, but it can work. The problem for me was versioning between the firmware and software for the unit. Only thing that worked is using current software and downgrading the firmware. After all the work it took to get going, it's odd that I still reach for the BCF over it. Semi-gruntled with PreSonus, OSD

CJ does it work with Win 7 64bit / Sonar X1 64 Bit and as it difficult to set up? Actually I just looked at a youtube video of the transport connected to the MC Mix, very cool. I could buy the transport now and add the mix later.

I use it with Windows 7 64bit and SONAR 32Bit. Its works well. I'm still figuring some things out with it, as its kinda new still. But the Transport functions work great and i love the jog wheel for scrolling in and out very quickly. Its 33.3% better than the Faderport.
