I can see it now.
A crowd (4 or 5 people) descends on the breakfast buffet table at the Sandusky Red Lion hotel. An authoritative voice from the back of the line calls out, "Stand Back! Let me through! I'm a Doctor!"
The horde parts as requested. Mike McCue, dressed in a lab coat that's a little short, showing bare legs with white socks and black shoes, elbows his way to the table. He hastily scoops handfuls of becan onto his plate. One person, Ludmilla Farfeline Jones, age 293 asks, "What kind of doctor are you?"
With bits of becan spraying from his lips, Mike proudly declares, "I, my dear, Am a Doctor of Becan!" In the ensuing confusion, he grabs the becan platter and runs for the door...

In 240BC, Eratosthenes of Cyrene calculated the circumference of the earth. As a percentage of the currently accepted value, how accurate was his estimation? And was any becan involved?

Probably within a couple of percent I seem to recall and, no, there wasn't any becan because someone named Beaglopolene of Porcine would always steal it.
