Some Good News

went to backup my audio drive onto the WD external drive and it wouldn`t fire-up-fortunately i backup my backups.
anyway,it was the power supply in the external case which in hindsight was obvious so $66 later all`s good and thought i`d share my good news.
ps:for the last 12 months i`ve encouraged clients to bring their own usb drives and give them all their wavs to take home-when bands fold they seem to get a bit nostalgic and want re-mixes and years later are chasing me for copies.

Pps:just a comment on ohgrants recent post.
as bapu pointed out there are 25 or so regular posters here and it gets pretty esoteric sometimes and lately pretty ugly and IMHO if i was a newbie i`d probably be too intimidated to post.
when i was trying to separate the rehearsal/recording side of the studio one reply i got from a prominent poster was "Bobby`s back!)-thank god for beagle and john who sorted me.
my best attempts at humour and irony received a lukewarm response.
fortunately my wife advised me that you weren`t a bunch of arseholes -my posts were just not funny-actually "a bit lame" were her words so there you go....
cheers

I'll confess at one time I actually thought you were one of Bens nee Dr Hashs aliases.

It was only after realising that your posts actually made sense that I realised I'd been mistaken.

But then again what do you expect from a pommie b'stard...

I do however normally make an effort to make someone welcome if I notice they are new around these parts, not just in the Coffee House.  There was someone upstairs last week or so that couldn't get recording and after he'd been told a couple of times to RTFM I actually bothered to take time out to show him where to look for information that would help.

There's nothing worse than turning up anywhere and feeling like you are outside of the clique, although to some extent it is unavoidable when people have already formed relationships over time.

I do try to keep an eye out for somebody new though and I notice others doing the same, it's always a good reminder though to hear somebodies first impressions.
