    Released Today

I spend money to get better gear and I work long and hard to learn how to record a source as cleanly as possible only to find that I need this in order to make my music sound cool.

Dave Modisette ... rocks a Purrrfect Audio Studio Pro rig.

My son and I joked (in the early days of digital audio) that one day we would have software to give digital the dirt back.

Finally (well actually it's been a while really) it's here (or do I mean hear?).

Yup...this is a bridge too far for me as well.  I don't have anything against "dirt" mind...my whole damn yard is full of the stuff...but I got more dirt makers than Carter's got little liver pills.  This I don't need.

I have EZMix. I like it. But, Dirt is totally useless to most of us I think. I wish they would come up with a preset package that would help give us mainstream Pop users a more modern sounding mix. Ala Serban Ghenea. Mixes like that are the sound today. Those of us trying to be hired guns have to try and deliver that level of sonic confection. Those presets would sell like hot cakes.

I'm not getting it either. I'll save the money for the first EXkeys add on midi pack.

Toontrack lost me with the EZmix product line when after version 2 was released they upped the price of preset packs significantly - even the ones designed for the original release of EZmix jumped up in price timed with the release of version 2.  I was interested and immediately lost all interest.  It was the same day that SD2 preset packs nearly doubled in price while adding nothing to the package.  So, I'll stick with self serve mixing like I always have.
