Why...
does it seem like so many strange things are going on? Earthquakes, bad-arse storms...you name it and even down to simple stuff like this forum. I really am starting to wonder about that Mayan calendar. I'm thinking I could possible save some money by not buying presents because...geeze that's bad. Nevermind. I keep many guitars handy....everyone that I picked up in the last few days had an issue. If it wasn't a broke string then they were rusty. I swear it's just some strange times.

The geological record shows that the times we are in are really comparatively mild. If the world does indeed come to an end this year, I will eat my words. But, I think in reality I am going to have a heyday mocking all those who believed in it (Craig).

spacey does it seem like so many strange things are going on? Earthquakes, bad-arse storms...you name it and even down to simple stuff like this forum. If you looks for strange things you're more likely to find them. I've read that, according to scientists, there haven't really been statistically more earthquakes than ever. It sure doesn't seem that way, but perhaps a few unusually terrible ones recently have heightened our awareness? Not sure about the storms, but they may well be statistically in line with history, where you're going to get clusters of events from time to time. It's easy to jump to conclusions, but I think you need to look at things over very long time periods to conclude that it's unusual (at least with any degree of certainty). As to the forum, most of the "trouble" seemed to be a very few threads that I personally didn't read or participate in. So I really only noticed people's reactions and second hand remarks. And I will never understand why anyone would read or participate in threads they find disturbing. In this case, if you ignore them, they really do just go away. Oh, and I broke the little octave G string last night tuning my twelecaster. Hmmm.....

The forum software has been broken/crazy since 2009 (last release used by Cakewalk). That may be the answer right there.

Usually, when strange things happen, people glare at me. I had nothing to do with this. I wasn't online. It Wasn't Me!!! I never wore your "string".

If you looks for strange things you're more likely to find them. LOL. Honest Drew, I wasn't really looking for any of these things! Maybe my awareness level is just high. ? Maybe if so many weren't happening at the same time it wouldn't seem "strange". Ok Bubba now you have me wondering...all those people must be looking for a reason... you're looking kinda funny to me...so where did you get that string? Uh...don't wait for a translation! Answer me!

Better still, just post it her for any who would like to dispose of their funds. The Bouy should have thought of this years ago.

How is that good news for me? I mean your wishes might be kind of cool, but I'm not so sure I'd want have to hear and grant everyone's wishes.

I suggest putting a pair of shades and trying your very best to look as cool and relaxed as possible. You don't really want folks around thinking your wheels are coming off, even if they are. An air of nonchalance is critical at times like these. That way if it all does end up going in the ditch, people will think your in charge and have things under control. This is what you should be thinking about. What to do with all your new found power! Crap! I've gone and spilled my plans for global domination.......ah well.......good luck you guys. Randy p.s. I'm takin Herb out first thing. He's got the vittles and ammo. Dibs!

They may be correct--statistically. I think a lot of it has to do with population and media. There are more people on the planet so they're bound to be living where these storms or quakes occur. Also, there's more media reporting it and we're hearing about it as soon as it happens--if not while it's happening.
