    My Uncle died this morning, same thing heart attack. He was 77. :-(

    Big part of my childhood was watching American Bandstand on Saturday mornings. I always felt a fondness for the guy even as he became a bit of a smaltzy cartoon of himself in later years.

    He was a legendary name over this side of the pond too, but only by reputation as he never figured in our culture, music, TV or otherwise. Still, a sad day for his fans across America and of course, his family.
