Ben does blow and listens to Miles Davis

Apparently, it was shown in a 1.4 million dollar study that coke sniffing rats dig bop (Miles Davis in particular).  I didn’t read the study yet and the blurb only mentions the blow / Miles Davis connection … no mention of how weed, ludes, smack, acid, etc. or their more contemporary counterparts (e.g., oxy) affected their musical preferences. http://now.msn.com/living/0418-drugged-rats-love-jazz-study.aspx

    Man, lemon is notorius.

Keep away from that stuff, it's citric acid.  It'll eat you away from inside.

    Hi,

didn't they also have studies that plants didn't like Jimi Hendrix? ... which btw, is not true as I have hanging plants by my speakers and they love Jimi and many other guitar screamers ... about the only one it took my plants a while to get used to was Gurley of Cheap Thrills fame ... that Ball and Chain guitar will have Strummy in spiked hair real quick! And Bapu all chained up playing Am backwards!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

And Ben relates to this topic how? He is a rat? He has a drug problem?

    This is humor?

Well... OK then, I will leave you to your fun.

I think it's remarkable that the forums most vociferous accuser, blamer, and finger pointer has returned to contribute his special form of "wellness' to the community.

    Thanks a bunch Shad.

When I offered a welcome back post a few weeks back I reflected on how much less accusational and destructive your manner seemed to be this time around. I thought maybe you had found some happiness and I was glad to see you visiting again.

I appreciate you taking your time while warming up the room before you go into your trademark share the pain spiral and begin accusing every and any thing of being an example of just how bad and evil every and any thing really is.

I had almost forgotten how meek and mild you like to act while undermining the stability of your surroundings.

I also recall that you enjoy the habit of erasing your egregious posts rather than having the good character to simply apologize.

Now I remember; you are a bully that doesn't have the charisma to put together a gang.

    best regards,
    mike

I have a nice rose growing. It only like the CHB and refuses to listen to anything else. THE CHB!

P.S. I wake every morning and sniff the coffee. I do coffee and listen to Miles Davis.  Coincidence?

Hey Strummy, I hear the 'mad monk' look is coming back in....

I used to call it my 'reverse mohican' until I discovered the joys of a number two buzz cut.

    best regards,

    Mike,

I hear what you are saying, and I respect your opinion. We have danced this dance before, you and I. I understand you do not like my style, or my views of things. I understand they are vastly different than yours. I get that you do not like me. That is OK, as I am not here to win a popularity contest, and you do not need to like me for me to still like you.

The only thing that I ask from you is to cease misrepresenting my actions and my motives. You really are not aware of either of them. This has been the biggest issue between you and I. You keep saying I am doing this and that (such as why I removed the post above), when actually I am not. For example, I had removed my post a few minutes before it was quoted. I do not edit my posts (except for typos or to add something). I do not delete posts because I am embarrassed by them. I did not remove it because I felt I was wrong, I removed it because I realized it would only fall on deaf ears.

I think you are basing much of your views about me on misinformation spread by a person whom I hope is no longer here (the only reason I am back is because I have not seen that person here in a while). You may think I am vocal. I am. But you and a few others thought I was on his "side", when I was doing my best to get him to stop his nonsense. You seem to be the only person here who still thinks that I was part of that. I do not start fights. But I will defend somebody against unreasonable accusations, personal attacks, or other nonsense. I am one who tries hard not to ridicule somebody they do not like, or do not agree with. I actually try to engage them. If that is wrong in your mind, too effin bad.

I am not going to apologize to you or anybody for the things I said here. I held my tongue all weekend, and I only spoke up when a person whom I admire and respect was being called a backstabber (in those exact words) simply because he asked for some thought be put to what we are doing (that is bullying).

The reality is, I tried my hardest to be gentle, while sticking to my guns. I do not believe I am wrong in doing that, or in my opinions. I tried hard to be reasonable and to simply find a compromise that works for everybody, not just you all.

For a while there, I was actually rather proud of Reece and Ed for the way they seemed to handle it. I thought they were being very "big" about it. Then 20 minutes later, Reece posted a pile of posts in a tantrum (oops sorry, I meant "humor"), and Ed went and dumped his login and started a new one. At that point I lost a lot of respect for them.

Reasonable request were made by reasonable people, and those whom the requests were made to, responded unreasonably. Lay the blame where it is actually due.

    With respect.
    Shad

Y'know...I'm starting to think that maybe using one of the thread icons...might not be a bad idea after all.
