Midi Track EXPORTING Help (Solved but More ???)

I have created some midi drum tracks with SD3 to go along side an acoustic kit on the recording. The song sounds great I believe and the midi tracks really bring the kit to life.

For the life of me I dont remember how to export them with the song. It has about 24 Audio tracks and about 5 midi tracks for drums.  When I exported it this morning, everything exported except the midi tracks.

So can someone enlighten the dummy and tell me how to export with midi.

I am not a midi person at all but need to learn it-Ive tried searching the forum but unfortunately, my searches bring back nothing found.

Thanks so much in advance.

    My midi tracks I created

Insert Soft Synth/Session Drummer x64/Steven Slate Wet 2
Outside of inserting the Midi tracks and putting in the notes where I wanted, this is all Ive done before trying to Export them.

Hi Mike, let me clarify what you're talking about first.

MIDI is just data, not sound.  so are you actually saying that the Session Drummer tracks did not export when you exported the project?  in other words you can hear the drums triggered by the MIDI thru the Session Drums when you play the project, but when you export it does not have the drum sounds with the export?

if that's the case, verify where your outputs are going and what your export settings are.  you should be exporting WHAT YOU HEAR.  and your drum softsynth tracks need to be going to your master bus - or if you are sending it to a drum bus first, that's fine, but don't output ANYTHING to the soundcard EXCEPT the master bus and everything should always eventually end up at the master bus.

if you have your softsynth track outputs set to the soundcard then you'll hear them playing in the project because you're summing at the soundcard, but during export they won't be there because you're probably exporting the master bus.

Correct on your first assumption Reece sorting through my lack on the Midi/SoftSynth knowledge.  I stay lost on the midi and softsynths.

Ill take a look after I get done with making viddles and post a pic if I am still at a lose. Thanks a bunch

    Okay Reece,

Heres what I came up with
The SoftSynth tracks are alll routed to a Drum Buss, Drum Buss is routed to Master Buss.

I did Re-Run the "Export" and did notice the [Preset] What you hear-Real Time.  I have never messed with this so I expanded it and selected What You Hear-Real Time.
    The Project was recorded 44100/24.
Export Settings are set at :
44100/32 Triangular with the Preset set as listed above.

Will let ya know if all goes well.

    Thanks again

    Wonderful-Everything Exported

Ran into a few other questions though
I exported as WAV and another as MP3 and experienced some new questionable things.
Right at the end of both exports, it "Drops Out" in the Tool Bar at the top.  I noticed it Plays the music back as its Mixing Down/Processing with the Preset "What You Hear". I assumed this was all normal operation?
The WAV Played perfect during mixdown
The MP3s sound was in and out all through, the Processor Status "for a lack of better terms" had only a few bars jumping slightly but the one on the left would peg out here and there into the red. I checked the export and the song played fine so what I was seeing and hearing wasnt really an issue? or is it a common thing?

By drop out are you saying the audio engine stops? Are the exported files OK or do they drop out? Are you listening as it exports? I don't use that option so it goes fast.

Maybe I take the long route, but always bounce the midi tracks to audio "before" exporting-especially drums. This way I can really mix them nice and together. Just my way.

Yes with the SoftSynth Exporting, I have to have the Preset set to What You Hear-I assume this makes it play as it exports. Once it reaches the end of the mix down, the little [DropOut] box occurs up by the status bar in the tool bar.  The sound intermittently drops out throughout the process of mix down as its playing back during processing. I played back the back the Exported MP3 that was doing this and it appears to not have effected it.

Not sure if its normal for this to be occurring or not.

New to the entire process but learning and willing to learn, just have that little problem of remembering what I did and how to make it happen right again.  Little tips like yours always helps me learn other ways.
I spent alot of time trying to find posts and searching youtube but I am terrible at finding things when "I" need them
    Thank God for you guys
