Sonar 64 bit running slower than 32bit

Hi Ive been using sonar for years I installed sonar x1 64 and also 32 on the same machine I notice 64 bit runs really slow compared to 32bit especially if Im running maschine via vst or reason via rewire if any one could help it woould be great!

    That is not my experience. 64 bit X1 should run at least as well as the 32 bit version.

    I use both 32 bit and 64, although now adays I am almost exclusively in the 64 bit. I am on Windows 7, you did not mention what your op system was. I won't say that my 64 bit is slower, but it is true that often times 64 bit files are bigger. For example, dimension pro in 64 bit is over 2 meg in size while in 32 bit is about 1.6 meg in size. What the file size differences translate to is sligtly slower operation when it comes to opening things. When file size differences are present, the hard drive speed becomes a bigger determinant of overall speed. But as far as just general operation of the 64 bit verses 32 bit, its too small for me to notice. If your 64 bit version is just chugging along while the 32 bit is pretty zippy, then something has to be the culpret in your machine. Rick
