Good jam session in Dallas

We had a good Cake meet the rep afternoon in Dallas (actually, Arlington, halfway between Ft. Worth and Dallas).  Out of the 5- 6 million in the metroplex two users showed.  I don't want to hear any of you mid-cities' boys complain about having to come to Dallas after that.  You could have had a personal session.
 
But mostly we talked about Cake and the culture and pressed for what is coming next (sorry - no Dates for X2 though that name was bandied about ....)
 
ProChannel will continue to be a focus.  Many of the reps and faces we know here on the forums and the meetings are hoping Cake can use Roland's name and expertise to have a whole line of Chorus Echoes etc. for ProChannel.  They want it.  I want it.  Why isn't it here right now?
 
I also put in a plea for a new Reverb, since Cake's are getting a little long in the tooth and PS is a little much for stacking a few in a project.  Our rep agreed tho didn't let out any secrets.
 
There was also a discussion of using the Matrix for live performance as well as arrangement.  Take a look at Cake TV.
 
It was a good conversation, even if there weren't a lot specific questions and went on for the whole 3 hours (I missed most of the first one).
 
If there is a Jam/Meet the Rep in your area it is a good way to, well, meet a rep of Cakewalk, maybe more than one local user and ask any question you want.  don't mean they'll answer it, esp. about timelines and such, but you can get a feel for what Cakewalk employees and users want and wish.

I live in DFW and would have attended had I known.  Where was this held?  (I will guess at Guitar Center, but maybe not...).

I didn't see anything on it either.  If it is early enough in May I can probably make it, from May 20th till June 9th, I am in Vegas on business though.  GC Ctrl Expressway is certainly closer to Mesquite than Arlington.

I too would love for Cakewalk to be able to use some or the Roland/Boss effects. Like you say, if everyone wants it why don't we have it yet. Wait on- you didn't say Roland wanted it

Nope.  actually I didn't realize it was on a Sunday.  I couldn't have been there anyway.

But really, Mike said you guys had no control over the outgoing e-mails.  I don't think a lot of people got it.  I saw the thread in announcements.

I get email from Roland all the time. Problem is they have no content and no subject, so I now have Roland on my blocked senders list. Cakewalk stuff comes down the line most of the time but it's always a couple of days after the same announcement breaks on the forums.

I'd like to think there will be international meet and greets for non USA folks. I wonder if they have a rep in Canada?
