Quantize Audition acting strange



Just yesterday  in my current project i was applying quantization to 4-8 measures of ride cymbal but today, the  audition feature will play only 2 measures and then loop back over the same 2 measures. 

Sometimes it plays 2 measure outside of the selected range of data! (I have no (addition) sets of markers, or loops selected orthat I have created)


Is that I just think the audition used to play the complete range but it never played more than 2 measures or is there something funky going on. I don't see anything in Scott's book indicating a 2 measure limit.


I only have  Change Midi start times and durations selected for the change type.

I am applying this to midi data so nothing relating to audio clips is selected

I have tried to audition sections where no quantization has been applied and sections where it would be an second pass of quantization and the results are the same.


I haven't gone ahead and applied the actual quantization because I'm so puzzeled about whats going on!!

    By default quantize audition is set for 3sec. You can max it to 25sec.
    In Track View
    Hit P: to launch the>
    Preferences
    In the> Audio section
    select> Playback and Recording>Command Audition Length>
    +/- box defaults at 3sec

    My opinion, just that, it is easier to apply the quantize and listen. If not good, perform an Edit/Undo; then try again.
