I think Tape Op had a review.  And/or Sound on Sound but there wasn't much there.

I think Kevin Burgin designed it - or worked on it anyway and he does good stuff.  He did the Komit comp/limiters which RAdial also produces, and it is killer (the older, hand built ones, anyway).

Guitar Center guy sold you one w/o a lunchbox.  man, I would tell him he owes me a luchbox, and no tin thing for a sandwich either.  Actually, I'd talk to the manager and tell him to make it up to you.  I mean, what kind of idiot did he hire?  Be nice and you might have a well placed friend.  I know a local studio owner who gets first dub on all their used/going out of stock items.

Sounds good, spent money on this. I been wanting 500 series for while.
I'm looking at the moog ladder sometime in the future,

In some ways I'm glad sense it would have cost big bundle which i couldn.t afford.
The chameleon labs cps 501 figure was good choice sense i can add to it, lunchbox would be great but look very werid with one 500 series hah.

I'm going try that hopefully they will work with me I'm no where close to them.
and dang i like have that kind of deal maybe when i get my carrer started.

    Thanks

The Power Pre and a komit would be a good front end and you could add an eq later.  Or a stereo komit.  The comp is a very smooth and clean SSL type, while the separate limiter is an old-style cruncher.  It has a vol control so you can push the limiter - or not, giving all kinds of control and tone.

No, the moog ladder is a synth filter.  I was just saying if you add an eq to the komit and pre you have a nice channel strip.  Or have two komits for a stereo comp for mixdown through.
