Great voice this fellow has eh? Got a bit of Sting vibe in it, very nice.

Well worth the effort to polish what is an outstanding performance. Tim's voice is like a fine instrument to me. He could be singing jibberish and I'd still love the sound of it. Great work gents.

So true Randy. I didn't hear the version before the one James altered...but I'm sure we all would have loved it just as much. You know how it goes man....it matters not how good the quality something is as long as the performance was there...and it was. I could listen to this guy play and sing using a Radio Shack microcassette recorder and still be in awe.

Wonderful all around.  I just love this!  I can't believe it was recorded on one track.  Great job, all of you.

Sean, Randy, Danny, Janet - thanks a lot folks, I'll keep sending Tim the link to the thread, he's 'well chuffed' with all the kind responses. He played this one at his local folk club this week, went down very well by all accounts.

Much as I dig the simplicity of the performance, this would sound great with some SMB style synthy parts. Maybe an SMB version of TW's version ?

This shouldn't be on Soundclick. It should be on Billboard.

+1 to what Tim said

Well, James, I finally got a chance to listen to this, and I'm glad I did.
Simply lovely.
Understated elegance has a certain power when done properly, as this is.
Tim's voice and style is unmistakable.
Like Rimshot, I got a few chills listening to this song.
Thanks for sharing, James, and thanks Danny, for the notes on polishing a gem.
