I'm brain dead at the moment,
but FYI the things you labeled "comps" are "caps".
I'm gonna take a try:
Brown from "Woo" on crossover to the brown speaker wire.
Green on speaker to Green on Speaker to patch the speakers in series.
Blue from speaker to "-" on crossover.
The inputs brown and blue hook up to the jack.
That's my best guess.

hmmm could be series woofers , looking at the - input you have two blue wires and a black
one blue is the ring of the input jack the black looks like the - of the tweeter. the remaining blue if the - of the series wired woofers.Brown WOO wire to + of first woof, - of first woof to + of second woof, = of second woof to blue wire

The "mystery" components are capacitors and the circuit is a crossover.
Connect the jack socket to "input" on the circuit, WOO means "woofer" and connects to the 12", TW is tweeter and connects to....
Follow the circuit HOT first, jack HOT to input, WOO and TW to the speakers as expected. then connect all the commons to the "common" marked onthe circuit.
Measure the 12" with a multimeter set to resistance. The actual speaker value will be a little over what your meter reads.
If you amp requires 8 ohms, and the speakers are 4 ohms, connect them in series (circuit -> speaker1 -> speaker2 -> common)

+1 Strangely enough, this one is easier than the footswitch one because there is no way of guessing how the internal switching in the amp goes there.

Nah, I might be brave but I'm not that brave... I put mine in the fridge once to cool down quicker so the kids didn't get burned by it then forgot it was there...

What do you want to connect to the speaker?
You've got most of the stuff from Karyn's post. It's important to consider what impedance you want out of the cabinet. This will determine how you wire the speakers i.e. series/parallel. You may not even want the cross over and tweater in the picture.
A reliable multi meter would be nice for testing the components and the speakers.

Now I just need to find my soldering iron TIP: After heating for a few minutes, one end of the soldering iron will be noticeably cooler than the other. Grasp the cool end in your hand.

While that was interesting..... you never mentioned what you were planning to use this setup for.
If guitar or bass..... I would rip out the crossover and the tweeter and wire the speakers up in parallel and throw some watts to them.
The crossover I believe is useless as is the tweeter for guitar/bass duty.
Match the load to the amp and proceed.

Thanks again for the great info folks. I reconnected all the wiring today as per your advice and everything's working perfectly! Just a quick question for anyone who knows these things... - As I've just joined the wires together using terminal blocks, I really want to completely rewire/resolder the whole cabinet. It looks like whoever made this used the wires from an ordinary power flex cable (hence those in the UK might recognise the brown, blue and green/yellow wires). Is there any particular maximum or minimum size wire I should use, or avoid?

avoid stuff smaller than 20 gauge or larger than #6 wire.  I would say that anything from #18 on the small end to #12 on the large end would be fine. That puts #16 and #14 right in the middle and the perfect size to use. The longer the run between the amp and the speaker cab, the larger size wire you need to use to avoid voltage drop losses. In most cases, that is not even an issue with proper sized wire. Carvin uses #15 gauge wire on their "pro-series " cables for speakers, and #12 gauge on their heavy duty speakon cables.
