Does Sonar home edition 7 feature a list of orchestral instruments, which inturn can be played through an attached keyboard

    Welcome to the forum.
    The TTS-1 software synthesizer has orchestral instrument sounds.
    If you bought SONAR Home Studio 7 XL, that comes with Dimension LE which includes the Garritan Pocket Orchestra.

    I think Home Studio has been discontinued quite while ago, meaning you can't buy it anymore, unless you find unsold copies from retailers.

    It's a little confusing. When you click on the CW site front page "Products By Cathegory> Home Recording>Home Studio" the page opening says "Discontinued" but all the feature pages are just like before.

    SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
