Netflix users, check it out.

Watched a Classic Albums show on Netflix last night about Steely Dan and the making of Aja. Pretty interesting stuff, such as Fagen and Becker in the studio, soloing tracks from the songs. Larry Carlton guitar solos, Michael McDonald vocals, and others. Lots of interviews with session players who played on the album. Highly recommend it.

They have others on there also with Black Sabbath, Metallica, Phil Collins, Duran Duran. Haven't watched those yet.

Got that particular show on VHS somewhere, love it.

The Classic Albums series is excellent, check out the one for Peter Gabriel's 'So' if you can find it, and the episode about Purple's 'Machine Head' is fascinating stuff.

Back a while, we were on their disk delivery plan..... until they jacked the prices.....

They have some really nice concerts on disk as well.

That's a great series. I've seen most of them, and own many of my favorites which include Steely Dan (Aja), Fleetwood Mac (Rumours), Queen (A night at the Opera) and a few more.

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!

I just watched the one on Def Leppard's Hysteria. Pretty cool also.

I loved watching the guys fly the fader up and down as if mixing ain't no big deal.

    That was hot.

Mixing ain't no big deal. If you do it right.

    Or so I'm told.

Canadian Netflix doesn't have much in the way of concert video. I did watch "Lemmie", and that kind of counts. Mebee.

Another one definitely worth watching is the "Rush: 2112 & Moving Pictures" Classic Album video.  Great background on two of Rush's best albums ever.  I've watched almost all the Classic Albums series, well worth spending some quality TV time with.
