Music is a 10. I can't always live up to a ten mentality, but there it is.

Music is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlKG_nglwc8 But another song by them not up at utube is:Smooth Operator. One has to ignore certain aspects of the world to listen to music more, so it has fallen due to the world. I give it a 7. I give the world and the News usually done like lately a 0.

chefmike8888 Since I got clean and sober years ago and no longer smoke (cig's or anything else).......... It's pretty damn important. Music calms the savage beast. Just ask Buggs Bunny. For me it's also at an 8 - 10 Mike Yeah I agree, looking at music as therapy. I would have to give it a 10. No substitute for music therapy,at least for me. This would be especially helpful for you living in Jersey

My wife and my music. That's all there is. Music - and art more generally - is just so much part of who I am that it's as if it's not as important. As long as I'm breathing it'll be there w/ me. Even if I'm not writing for a long period, it's still at the root of my being. I'm a musician going through a dry spell, a musician working a crappy day job or a musician painting the kitchen ceiling. Or then doing music. It's like being tall. It doesn't go away. As such, my wife - and making my wife happy - is higher on the priority list. So it's really the best of both worlds to be making music for her and w/ her.

I like that analogy Rain. All I know is whatever I'm doing there's some song running in the back of my head (for better or worse! LOL!).

One mans -.01 could easily be anothers 9-10. If I had the means that we have today when music was an 8 to me... The song forum would be flooded with not only my music but every band that I was recording- They'd be getting my name out too! The cars could sleep outside and I'd run a snake from there to anyplace I had to and would be charging every band in a four state radius just enough to pay the light bill. I would have a place to record...no excuse. My "band" name and production studio would be in every internet rat-hole to every site that would let me post. There would merchandise from picks to posters, flops to hats and anything else to go with the mug with my name on it...everywhere. And I would own all the legal rights to my music/production studio/merchandise across the US just as I did when it was a 4-5 and it was just a little 'ol band. Just my opinion and it's worth what you paid for it.
