Do you prefer Tasteful Self Portrait or some sort of picture/art work?

Just thinking out loud here.

I'm of the opinion that if you have to "pretty up" the cover that ... you music is not as important. But then, you can also do a cover like Ad Nauseum (PC and DM) and it makes you wonder if the material inside is any more tasteful, or better. I can not vouch for the taste, but the material is considerably more interesting and funnier!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

I'd go with whatever suits the music.  Singer-songwriters are well served by portraits.  If the album has a concept or a theme, maybe  photo or artwork is called for.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Thats exactly how I view it    Waiting to see how she feels or what she is thinking.  Dont even think she has thought about it yet  LOL Just a tiny thing in the scheme of everything else but, it is a HUGE marketing tool you have to use correctly when it comes down to it.

    Hi,

    Yes, no and maybe.

There are conflicting emotions and I had that issue when I published my first book of poetry ... if I name it this ... wait ... that doesn't fit that ... and all it does is add more confusion to the whole thing ... and in the end, I named it something that is not a poem or a line in that bunch.

Actually it ended up becoming a line in a different poem in the next set or publishing compilation!

I am not good on "titles" and have not named any titles on any of my poems, and always use the first line as it's "name", because a title does not mean anything to me, in reality. It's just another set of words!

The only title I came up with, was on my screenplay ... and I actually named it as a ... reaction ... to what the class was telling me the story was! ... "To the Chagrin of ... " but it fit the story and was a bit cryptic, and worked, because the whole film script is a bunch of sequences that are from the same person at different times, and they do not come together until later in the time sequence of the story (not the mind sequence) ... which of course is a hassle for all of us, because they never relate properly anyway ... to our chagrin!

But I don't like "titles" because they tend to force you into something that you don't want to do or be. And when I wrote the things I write, it was ffrom the "experiential" point of view ... not the pointed point of view that has to tell you something, or show up with a nice dress that says ... tata ... here I am.

Part of the issue is ... ohhh this is about this and that ... because of the title, and it doesn't have to be, and one of the main reasons why titles are boring for me, and in many cases ... misleading as heck!
