Has any one any experience with MidiOx ?

I have no experience with MidiOx and don't like to put things on my Daw that may mess it up can any one tell me will it leave any foot print behind or install anything that I don't want on my DAW ?

Thanks again for all your help

I used  MidiOX in past on a 32bit XP machine - no problems whatsoever
Not used it on my 64bit windows 7 machine.
    Hope that helps a little!

I use Midi-ox quite a bit when benching hardware and setting up multiple controllers.  It's a great tool for dianostics.  I've found it doesn't share ports. If you have multible devices it can also create a midi loop that can drive you crazy. It may be I just didn't have it filtered right. As far as hurting the system? No.  It's been around for a while and a lot of people use it.

MidiOX is the second or third tool I install on any new system - it is invaluable! And other than a handful of self-inflicted problems it does no harm!

For $14.00US I got LoopBe 1. It is free but it will only work (in free mode) for 60 minutes after the first MIDI note is played and then you have to reboot your computer.

I was skeptical of MidiOX since I could not see where it was Win 7 64bit compatible.

Midi Ox is a great analysis tool.

But for virtual midi ports the world beater just now is free (donationware).  I own LoopBe30 but I long since uninstalled it as this one beats all-comers on all counts.

64/32 bit and you can create and destroy new virtual ports on the fly, name them how you want, all without rebooting.

    It's a must have.

Go get yourself some then donate the money you would have wasted on one of the commercial alternatives that are out there. And then a bit more 'cause it's better than any of them performance, stability and functionality wise.
