recording controller via mouse?

Hi,
I use Sonar 8.5. How can I record the movements I do with my mouse on a audio-plugin?
I can use this by right-click on a FX-plugin (only) by activating all controllers for writing. Is there a similar function for audio-plugins?

thanks in advance!

I don't know what you mean by "audio plugin" vs. " FX-plugin". Do you mean soft synths vs. effects?

If they are VSTs they can be controlled by automation envelopes to variyng extent. However, it is plugin dependant which functions are automatable.

Clicking the "W" on the VST activates the Write-mode. Any moves of automatable knobs and sliders during playback are then recorded.

That "right clicking on an FX plugin" makes me suspect you're talking about something else, though.
