FX Chains in X1D

On a couple of occasions I tried all or most of the fx chains that came with X1 and there are some real gems in there. I appreciate them not only for their close to ready sounds they offer, but they have helped for getting me to think outside the box in more of a sound design way for building a few fx chains based on the interactions of the fx parameters versus the normal I need a specific tool.

I would imagine some next step improvements will be direct automation of the user interface instead of at the plugin level.  I think the UI modifications are a little clunky too. I would also like to have an easy way to share fx chains among ourselves.

Overall I think cake's approach to fx chains with the mod matrix is very good and not mentioned enough.

Sure,I think its an amazing way of combining plugin effects, but I'm only just begining to get into it,and I think its something that could become known as an X1 PE gem,who else thinks so?

Found a couple of nice effects for backing guitars using some of the chains in the keys and Modern category.

Also, when I see a module that is not one of my favorite sounds, I substitute that one in place of the orig for a better sound to my ears. I would like to have MORE of these developed by the creative folks at cake. Good job on the ones we have guys! Thank you!

    I'm new to it all.
In the last few months I bought X1 expanded and I've been trying out the P-Ch presets and a few of the chains and bought the concrete limiter and the PC4K and PC2A-T stuff and, as a result, feel quite overwhelmed with way too many great options.
So many tools so little time.
I've really got to stop my day job, stop buying magic tools and just get down to it.
I agree the presets are a great way to learn.
Thanks to those who selflessly contribute.

Did anyone see my post here http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2531156 about FX chains not saving settings when reopening a project? It might just be Channel Tools specif, but just wondering if anyone has created an FX chain from scratch, set it up how they like it to sound, then save and close the project then reopen the project to see if settings stay the same?
