Just installed X1d

Everything was going fine until I tried to open the Browser View. It crashes every time no matter the project. Now I can't access my Synth Rack and switching through Screensets that have the browser view open will also cause Sonar to crash. I'm running X1d producer 64 bit.

Without any more info I'd suggest a reinstall is in order.

As I recall, the X1d patch included a pretty specific set of instructions that required you to have specific build versions installed. It also gave instructions on how to roll-back to a certain build level.

You may want to review those instructions again. If you did not follow the instructions you will have problems. If all else fails, give support a call or email.

    Kind regards,
    Rick

I believe you must have the "C" version already installed. I just upgraded my new Studio version and installed "C" then "D" and it is all working fine for me.

I installed over X1c. I have a Gateway DX Series Quadcore with 6GB of RAM and I'm hooked up to a Yamaha/Steinberg MR816x. How do I revert back to X1c?

do you keep a back up? system image?
if not may you learn your lesson son...lol

if not rollback with a system restore,im not a bigfan of system restores but they will roll a patch back nicely,
ofcoarse unless you have installed uninstalled things in the meantime, then it gets a little ugly,
best thing to do in the future is to install the patch,if you find you dont want it,dont live with it for a few weeks, system restore it asap.

but first take the time to see if something els is causing you a problem and not the patch, the patch has got some usefull things in it.
only rool back if you def, cant live with it.

    Hey!

I don't know what kind of Gateway computer you have but perhaps it has something to do with a floppy drive? I'm guessing there's no floppy drive installed on your computer? The floppy drive Windows can believe you have installed when your motherboard has a controller for one, can cause really slow changes in screensets containing the browser. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with this, but causing crashes rather than slow performance, so perhaps it's worth investigating.

Check out this article from the knowledge base. It takes you through the steps to find this out and disable the floppy drive controller in a few easy steps. It did the trick on my old machine.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I ended up doing a clean uninstall and reinstall of X1>XIC>XID. Everything is working like before now, actually plugins load a bit faster now.

Ok I'm starting to have a new problem. I can't change the bit depth of projects. It's always been at 24 but now it's stuck at 16.

Just found a solution. Opened up the AUD file and erased the 16 and wrote 24 for bit depth.
