crazy midi looping problems!
I am having a problem with midi looping and hopefully somebody can help. If I input notes on prv (say 2 bars worth), I then hit midi looping and drag the loop out for say 12 bars everything is fine. But if I want to then edit the notes I originally put in and split the original 12 bar loop so that I can delete the old data and loop the new data, it wont loop the new data properly. some notes may get missed repeatedly. Do I need to unloop the orginal midi and then reloop the new data for it to work? It seems to be very hit and miss.
Sometimes the new data also goes into new blocks over the old data, how do i merge this into one clip so that I can then loop it and stretch it out?
Also sometimes when I loop the new data it will cut the end of the new notes off as if something is hiding in the prv that wont let me input data over it.
So far, the prv seems completely unusable because of this and I have come to the conclusion that I must be doing something completely wrong with midi looping because this can't be right?
Any tutorials/videos that may answer my questions explaining midi looping would be useful?
