exorting audio sonar x1producer expanded

sort of new to sonar x1 producer expanded...having problems figuring out how to export a project in wav an burning to a playable CDR... does it HAVE to be mp3 for this application? i'm ableto get those onto disc, but have been told sound quality suffers tremendously with mp3's...

CD standard is 16 bit and a sample rate of 44.1kHz wave file. MP3's degrade the sound quality, so dont use MP3's unless you 100% have no other choice

An audio CD is made from WAV files. A data CD is made from MP3 files. Not all CD players are capable of playing data CDs containing MP3s.

If you want to create a standard audio CD, your WAV files need to be 16 bit, 44.1 KHz.

Which means if you recorded at any bit depth other than 16 bit you'll need to dither your .wav down to 16 bits during your export.

Is the OP's problem about actually burning the wav to the CD?

I read in X1Power that the Sonar Process is limited by "Track at once" burning and does not provide "Disc at once".
This is apparently a problem if you are duplicating the cd professionally as it introduces errors between tracks as the laser turns off between track..

Do folks use Pyro 5 or prefer other wares like Nero?

Pyro 5? I doubt that even works anymore. I use pyro Audio Creator which is the latest version (although it needs an update), Nero, Media Monkey and Audacity for burning CDs.
