Bouncing a Side Chained Track

I have a kick drum track that is side chaining my main synth which works nicely when I have the track run live, however if I freeze the synth the sidechaing stops working.  As a work around, I have heard that I should bounce the synth to a new track, but this doesn't work either at least as far as I can tell.

How do you bounce the synth such that it has the sidechaining sound without being side-chained?  Do I have to include the kick in the bounce?

I believe that you have to select all the tracks that are contributing to the sidechain input before doing the bounce. Ive also heard deselecting fast bounce works, but im not sure why that may be.

Hope that helps, if not, good luck, someone here will know

After playing around with the bouncing options and including the kick in the bounce I have somehow managed to bounce the synth with the sidechained sound.  I have to say that the bounce options I tried didn't make any sense and they were unpredictable in behaviour, it really seemed to be a rather buggy process to work with.  (Basically it would produce different results each time, yet I had not made changes to my bounce options).  I am used to Sonar being full of unpredictibility.

I hope I can get this to work again reliably in the future as I am not entirely sure how I made it work this time.
