Very disheartening.  When I read your post title I could only think...whaa???  Rock on, Junior...rock on.

They think he did it because he was in constant pain from his various football injuries.  So far it's the only explanation as everything else in his life was doing great .  Only 43 too...  Sad and very shocking.

    R.I.P.

When I go into the locker rooms I often see prominently displayed NFL posters on the walls trying to inspire the players to get consultation about life after football.

The stats for retired pro ball players are very grim; pain, a feeling of helplessness, and financial ruin seems to be not only common but rather seems to be the norm. This is according to the official posters placed in the locker rooms by the NFL for the NFL members to use a reminder to make good plans for life after football.

It's a shame so few people find a peace after retiring from the work.

    best regards,
    mike

Even more sadness.  I hadn't realized just how many members of the Chargers' 1994 Superbowl team had passed away!

Looks like more is coming out.  Evidentally they're now tracking things back to two other events.  In one, after a nasty incident with his ex-wife last year, Seau drove his car off the road and some speculated it was a suicide attempt then though Seau denied it and was unhurt.  The other has to do with some Chicago player who shot himself in the chest as well - apparently to allow his brain to be autopsied.  They're thinking Seau chose the same route for the same reason.  Who really knows?
