I am happy to say I have found a sort of rewire solution for X1 + Reason users

It would be better if it just worked right but since it does not my solution was to let the loop points just loop around one time. On the last bar of the loop everything will come in and play the way it should. Sad that Cakewalk tech support did not know this about their software but I found it in a sort of happy accident sort of way. Still not happy about how it works but at least I can get back to work. Thanks for all the help from those who were trying to help. I am going to stick with Sonar for now.

Reason wasn't ReWire 64-bit compatible until version 6. You need Reason 6 for Sonar W7 64, or to install the 32-bit version of Sonar.

Anderton hit it on the head. Your host and Reason have to be the same bit depth so either install Sonar as 32 bit and rewire will work or upgrade to Reason 6 and work in 64 bit you cannot mismatch those things.

also, for those who use Reason 6, and want to install it as 32 bit.. you have to do that with a switch. it'll assume you only want the 64 bit one if it detects a 64 bit OS.
