fastbouncing of melodyne is broken in x1d. You can realtime bounce.

I'm getting Melodyne Essentials (UPS delivery is scheduled Monday). Can you explain the "realtime" bounce that needs to be done? I've never used that.

In the bounce options, both for applying effects and bounce audio, you get a "Fast Bounce" tick box. If this is unchecked Sonar will bounce your audio in real time as if it was playing it back to an external device and you can also choose to have an audible bounce with this option unchecked. The difference is that instead of Sonar bouncing it out as fast as it can it takes the length of the song to bounce it. Melodyne can now only be bounced in real time. HTH

Don't bounce to clip, but rather bounce to track, a dialog opens with many checkboxes already signed. Look for the option "fast bounce" and deselect it. it won't go superfast in bouncing, it will rather take the time of listening. If you melodyned a note off, just wait a second; if you melodyned a whole track, go and take a tea. PS There's regular issues raised with melodyne and sonar d, and always the same trouble. I suggest you search in this forum before anything else, this is a much answered question.

We answered almost the same and the very same moment!! I don't follow you, when bouncing to clip I don't get any dialog box. I used to do that to a clip in previous versions of Sonar, inserting melodyne as a clip fx and then bouncing to clips would apply the effect and delete the fx, very easy and fast. Now it doesn't work to me. I select the clip and bounce to a new track realtime, and it works.

Ah, I see what you mean Maybe a poor choice of words or confused terminology here (by me . Rather than messing up my busy projects with numerous extra tracks and what not I just bounce to the clip using Process-Apply Effect-Audio Effect. From there you get the bounce dialogue with the fast bounce option and everything. That way my vocals stays on the same track I intended them to be on. As far as I understand it's the same bounce process used when bouncing to track our bouncing out a project, just neater IMO. Melodyne needs to be in the FX Bin of course and you just highlight the clip you want to bounce. If you're editing an entire track, then I suppose your approach makes sense as well. Then just delete Melodyne and hide the original audio. But if you've corrected some bits and pieces here and there then boucing out just the selected parts saves you hours in the long run

OK, Got it. I've always used "Fast Bounce" and never paid attention to the box or doing it another way. Guess I'll have to start if I use Melodyne on a track. Thanks/Jack

When you Select the Track with Melodyne on it, go up to "Tracks" dropdown menu and select "Bounce to Track". In the preset dropdown select "What you hear - Realtime Audible" See image Here's hoping this issue gets fixed soon. ; )
