MC6 master/slave sync
this is dumb I know, but I just upgraded from MC4 to MC6 and for the life of me, can't find where to set my external midi divices to be a slave to the MC clock. Obviously not in the same place as in 4.

Since I don't use external devices synced to the clock all I can suggest is to use the manual and search the contents for midi sync.... it's there but yeah, you are correct, I went from MC4 to X1 which MC6 is built upon and had to relearn where everything is located all over again.

Isn't it automatic? Do your MIDI devices not work? I just searched MC 6's Help files and there isn't anything about MIDI sync or Slave in them.

Here is what I'm trying to do, push play on a drum machine but have it not actually start until I push record on MC. This works fine on MC4. There is a tab in MC4 under Options/Project/Sync that does this. No such option on MC6. Nothing in the help files. Major step backward.

They have taken a few things out of MC6 that were in some earlier versions. I don't tend to keep up with all the changes..... to much stuff to keep in this old brain. If no one here knows..... then an email to support asking how to do sync would be in order. Since I am 100% "In the box" I have never even considered the need to do that.

I thought MC6 had that capability. let me try to find out for certain and get back to you. I have done this very thing in X1, and MC6 is based on X1, but they might have crippled that part of it for the MC6 price. but I'll try to check that out tonight when I get home.

not looking good. it looks like they took that feature away during MC5. MC5 nor MC6 have the MIDI sync capability. you'd have to upgrade to X1 (probably Essentials) to get that capability again.
