Sonar X1 Issue
The LCD screen on my new laptop is cracked. This happened sometime after I installed Sonar X1d.
I think they are related.
(Seriously.....my LCD screen cracked....not sure what happened, but from what I can tell I am screwed as no one warranties LCD screens. If it is cracked, it is your fault apparently. very annoying)
I can still use it, but my dream rig is now flawed.

Depends on how hard you hit the screen with your fist after X1 crashes 10,000 times.

Some lappies have HDMI and other video out.
I'd buy a nice monitor and keep trucking.
Maybe see if the old cracked screen can be removed....
At least the software isn't cracked.

most of them can be replaced. it's just not as cheap or straight forward as replacing a desktop monitor.

Are you sure you weren't looking into it, your reflection is most likely the cause, hope you can fix it but you might make sure it's a TFT as you can look at that from the side.

 Sonar did not crack my screen, nor did I punch it. (If it takes 10,000 crashes, I have like 9, 998 crashes to go!) I think Stump is on to something, all my computer monitors are cracked.... I was being childish and churlish....but everybody blames everything else on X1d so I thought I saw an opening. I actually know the part # and there is a youtube video that shows you how to do it. I replaced a cracked screen on my daughters smart phone and that went pretty well. Of course the HDMI monitor is an option, but that defeats the beauty of Sonar X1d on a laptop. I love taking my laptop out of the studio and doing all my boring edits in another room. JR

I think Stump is on to something No problem, glad to help. You might want check into a Polycarbonate(Bullet Proof) LCD for replacement(He He He)
