Why when i enter my Serial Number on new computer it says ivalid?

Why when i enter my Serial Number on new computer it says ivalid?

  I mean cmon now...I cant install my version of sonar on to my other PC? What gives?

    I would like to think i can get this resolved tonight..BUT CAKEWALK CLOSES AT 6..Now i remember how horrible customer service.

    assuming you have entered the info right...

    right click when you run .. "run as admin" and you should be able to do it.. if thats what you mean your having the issue with.

    I have text file of my numbers on a usb pen drive, I find it easy to just copy / paste them.. perhaps you should get into that habit as well.

    if your gonna act in a certain way on here, then sadly others won't reply... I was tempted not to either.

    remember here ISN'T support, but end user forum.. 


    try again tomorrow , I'm sure they'll be open.

    Check your account on store.cakewalk.com.

    Keep in mind that X1 Expanded has a different serial number than X1.

    FWIW, Your serial number and unlock codes don't change based on hardware/machine configuration.
    They're tied together... and remain the same.
    Double check to ensure you've entered the SN in the proper format
     
    xxxx-x.xx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx

    Im gonna have to contact them tomorrow because normal people work during the day and don't get home till they are closed lol..Have to wait all week to know why my serial number wont work. This kinda ticks me off being a user for 6 yrs now..And user "FOG" spare your Snobby Forum Remarks. You are not "Cakewalk" Supreme and no one gives a **** how cool you are in Cakewalk forum..This is not a sacred forum lol its public..Why even put your two sense in?

    Figured it out...The serial number they give you with the product is not the one to use..You have to log in to your store account and search for your serial number there. Maybe a dumb mistake but why do they do this? And before anyone says im dumb remember that you did not think to tell me either ;) Peace yall..Time to go play!!

    if you cant figure out how to enter a serial number,how are you going to know how to arm a track to record on?

    First run sonar in admin mode then goto your cakewalk site and login then copy the serial number and goto sonar and past it in
    all should be ok now, hopr this helps.
