My SONAR is better than your SONAR
That's me and my boy testing out a DIDSON SONAR in the studio...errrrr bathtub. I think Cakewalk needs to add ultrasound imaging to X1 Producer to keep up. Maybe a feature request is in order?

I hope you realize that using connected electrical equipment near a tub of water is extremely dangerous... This picture reminds me of America's Funniest Videos.. ya know the scene where a guy cuts off the top of a tree and it falls and tears a hole through the middle of the house. How could he not see that coming? Or the one where a guy in a small boat pulls a giant shark into the boat, then he realizes he's in a boat with an angry shark so he jumps in the water only to be followed by... you guessed it.... the shark!

I too considered getting a water cooled laptop once. The thought of needing a large reservoir (bathtub?) kinda nixed it for me though...

daveny5 I hope you realize that using connected electrical equipment near a tub of water is extremely dangerous... This picture reminds me of America's Funniest Videos.. And, your comment reminds me of a guy who watches too much TV. I've been an aquatic scientist for a long time and I'm quite familiar with how the equipment works, the risk of using it around water, etc. The guys who design and build this equipment (and their lawyers) know a thing or two about using it around water, too. This is very low-voltage stuff and the large black unit in the tub is only sending out high frequency pings. The laptop is powered by its battery, the GPS is powered by 2 AAs, the SONAR unit is powered by a small marine battery (in the hallway, not in view). Nothing is plugged into an AC outlet, because, while this might come as a shock to you (pun intended), those are kinda scarce out in open water where do our research. I appreciate the concern, though. Oh, and I won't show you the many pictures of me electrofishing - that might scare the living hell out of you.
