find the program in the C:/program files/"what ever the program is called"
find the exe(what sets the program off)
right click it/compadibility/click on either "help me run this program or/windows xp sp3

chances are your not going to have good luck.

if i were you and you dont want to spend any money then down load
    asio4all
    http://www.asio4all.com/

download this driver, read the 5 page manual very carefully so you learn how it works.
buy an adapter that goes from 1/4 inch to  1/8 inch(headphones 3.99 at radioshack)
and plug your guitar into that little hole in the side of your laptop/desktop

you should be buying an audio interface, but there in exccess of 100.00-200.00

youll save the money,it works,i used it before i stepped up and bought the v studio(love it)
but the catch is,you got to do the paperwork and read that manual.
once you read it/figure out exactly how it works, then your happy and throwing the target stuff in the trash.

unless of course you know about audio drivers, then the manual wont be as hard to understand.

Or..... get an external audio/midi interface and return the cord thing.

The cords tend to be a bit problematic and as you have found out, sometimes the drivers are not W7 compatible. Most of the interfaces are W7 compatible and use ASIO drivers which are the best to use for audio.

You might be able to fiddle around with it though and get it to work. Follow the advice the folks here give as they will not steer you wrong.
