Any effective way to do it in X1? The track is mostly wavs.

Thanks guys - I forgot that other DAW I own does it quite well, but will try these suggestions as well.

Enable audio snap on all audio tracks and set the offline algorithm to advanced radius , then enable clip to follow project tempo (stretch option), Go to tempo view and change tempo by two beats a minute. You should then bounce those to tracks as audio snap groove enable (online rendering) is having issues as of X1d with clicking around the timeline after doing all the above prior to bounce. I've had +99.9 db on all enable tracks. Cakewalk has reproduced it and is working on it. I'm also having other audio snap issues as of X1D and Cakewalk Tech advised me to do timing/tuning in 8.53 till they resolve issues.

My issue with Audiosnap is that I want to hear the end result immediately, not the approximated result. I can't think with that, especially when doing professional work.

You can do that, just change the online render type within Audiosnap's properties. Of course that'll use more CPU power but you'll hear what it'll sound like when bounced. There's the trade off.

FYI- there is no online radius mix, basically grove clip or percussion are your options for online rendering. You'll have to bounce to hear the ACTUAL what it's going to sound like if you are using the good radius stretching. Traktor Pro is more suitable if you are speeding up/slowing down a finished track. It's realtime stretching is amazing. Great for beat mashups or re-mixes or auditioning a stereo track at different pitches/tempos. Just load and go. When I'm re-tempoing multi-wavs I use Sonar.

Yep sorry my stupidity. It's not something I've changed personally, I just assumed that it would be possible to select the better rendering.

LJB Any effective way to do it in X1? The track is mostly wavs. Hi LJB, This subject is on my mind as well. Started this thread a couple of days ago. I would appreciate people like you who want this option to be easier to use to put in a feature request. I'm hoping to see an even better solution to the way sonar handles this now in the next version.

Time/Pitch Stretch mpex algorithm is really good quality in Cakewalk plugins for changing time or pitch of waves. It takes longer to process but is usually superior in the result. You just have to calculate the percentage to change relative to the change in bpm. 125bpm/127bpm=percentage to change it Lance

Is that using the Mpex algorithm? I ask because the way I am talking about is very high quality usually. Example, if I shift and stretch a clip the quality is no where as good as the Time/Stretch processing plugin where you enter a percentage to change. Lance

Just be nosey here. Do the alternative methods discussed change the tempo map to tie in MIDI tracks as well or does it just affect selected audio?
