It's doing my head in??

Just upgraded from m-audio lt to focusrite pro 24 firewire but since install said interface I have no end of problems with X1 studio
terrible lag when doing anything within X1 from arming an audio track to inserting a synth etc etc I have searched all the forums and discovered
that a few people have similar probs but non of the fixes worked for me? I have also tried all the fixes that I have found elsewhere to no avail
even with a clean install of Win7 64 and clean install of X1 plus updates nothing seems to cure said prob I do not have a prob with P5 or any other software have changed fire wire cards to 3 different types but nothing works am just going back to sonar 8'5 to see if this works any advice would be gratefully received before I decide to switch to something more stable :) Cheers

There is a beta version of Saffire Mix Control available from the following link: http://beta.focusrite.com/file.php?id=887

This should clear up the lag you have been experiencing with Sonar X1.

If you have further difficulties with your Focusrite interface, feel free to open a case with Focusrite technical support at: http://www.focusrite.com/answerbase/en/contact.php

focusrite is a stable low latency interface. I have one.

follow the advice above and be sure the drivers are the most current for the focusrite and check and adjust if necessary the latency and buffers in X1.

That sounds like a driver issue. IIRC there was a long thread on the subject several months ago.

I had a similar experience with my ZED-R16 and it turned out that the latest drivers weren't the greatest. Rolling back a version fixed it for me but exactly the same symptoms as you are describing. Long lag of several seconds between pressing play, record, track arming etc and anything happening.

anytime when upgrading to a new audio card,
do exstensive resaesch first, read as much as possible on comments of those who are using it in the same digital atmosphere as you.
i know this isnt much help but i could have sworn ive read many threads on the issues with the pro 24 in sonar.
