I have some time so...

I thought I may bore you with a story.
Birthday wishes brought this about...

Right at 13 years ago my wife and I had life dictate that we were to raise
our beautiful grand daughter, she was almost 2 at that time.

I eventually assembled a big swingset with the play area/fort on top of slide...way overboard
and a set really suit for a park.

My In-lays were visiting one summer and usually stayed for a month or so.
I had fell a large oak and while sitting on the patio talking with my father-in-law he
asked what I was going to, and how I was going to remove 3-4 large sections of the trunk
that were left.
I replied that I wished I had a big hole to roll them off into.

He took a nap everyday around noon and all the family had gone shopping so I was kicking around
in the back yard and found I needed to put more dirt and level the area at the bottom of the slide.
While getting a barrel of dirt it dawned on me that it was strange...where was the dirt going? So
I hit the ground hard with the shovel and an circular area about 3-4 ft dropped and the grass was
the only thing holding it....I jumped back freaking....another hit and the ground went out of sight followed by a big splash.

It turned out that many years ago the house had a septic system and when the sewer tied to city
they didn't fill or remove a large steel septic tank and the top rusted through...directly at the bottom
of the slide.

Well I had a large hole for the stumps and saved a potentially horrible incident from taking place.

Karyn I'm not complaining but that part...I've been there.
Then I had to pay somebody to bring in a load of dirt!
Sure gave the family something weird to talk about and I know the family
that had the house built and left that trap. I did tell them the story too.
