expand upgrade with X1d

I have updated producer to x1d using the dedicated sonar producer X1d update. If I upgrade to expanded can I update again with the dedicated X1d Expanded update on top of previous update. Please don,t say I have to uninstall all and start again.

No you don't need to uninstall. You may have to roll back though. This is done with complete ease by going to the X1 folder and than to the Backup folder and selecting the correct backup file and drag it to the program folder.

Follow all the install instructions as listed on the down load page.I would down load the PDF and print it out for quick referral. It is not a difficult thing to do correctly.

If you patched X1 that created a backup folder in the X1 program folder. The patch created it. So if you don't see a backup folder than you must not have patched X1.

I am also on Vista 64 bit.

It is possible you don't need to roll back.

My splash screen shows X1D BUILD 533, I am using 32 bit Vista. With hidden files shown I cannot see a back up folder.
When I follow the help file I need to install expanded(425) over build 319 (X1C) and then X1D build 535.
In hindsight I should of stopped at X1C and waited until I got expanded.

Would installing expanded followed by the X1D build 535 (over my 533b) cause problems.

Still trying to avoid full re-install.

    thanks

Pssst! I've already been through this so listen carefully.

You don't need to roll back or anything like that. Just install Expanded, then run the Expanded D patch and you're fine.

The only "backup" scenario was for the "quickfix" which is no longer needed. Throw it away! Delete it! Eat it for lunch! Whatever! Just don't click on it.

Yeah, that backup thing only applies to the quickfix releases, not the proper patch releases.

Thank you Soens and John T, just what I was hoping. I sent a support ticket but would probably have to wait days for answer!
Will go ahead and install now.
