Wavedrum sequence

I improvised this piece on a wavedrum. I used my hands and a pencil on some of the rim shots. It's not for everyone's taste, but if you like synthesizers or electronica and percussion, you may enjoy this.

Is this the Korg wavedrum?  Whatever it is, it's quite interesting.

    All the best,

Reminds me of the liquid boobams on a Camel album.

Not sure about the timing of whatever you were doing but the sounds could be used to create some strange wave sounds for electronic type music and other types of music in general , SweetWater sells them for around $600.00 I think .

    James,
The wavedrum is a Korg electronic drum. You can play it with sticks, brushes, your hands, or mallets. The drum head has a very dynamic response which permits a lot of fast finger riffing.

Sorry the file did that. I uploaded a differwent MP3 format.

    Lynn,
Yes. It's the Korg wavedrum (the oriental version).

    wookie,
    Sorry about the file problem.

    Radio,
I was doing a bongo pattern. Nothing special, but perhaps a little fast.

My first thought was the same as James: "What's a wave drum?" Was picturing some sort of surf activated drum set hehehe. Very cool. Sounds really good too.

This was pretty interesting. I'm wondering what sounds you could get with a chop stick and an artists paint brush? Anyway, very interesting sounds. Blessings, John

Good fun.  I have Wavedrum Oriental also!  I love it, but it's hard to integrate it with other sounds.
