HELP: Amplitube through Sonar X1. No input movement

Good evening Ladies and Gents, I am relatively new to this DAW. I am using Amplitube 3 and I can get perfect sound when running it through the standalone mode. However, when I put it in the fx box, I cannot gain input unless I click on [echo] which is a guess. I do get a sound with echo but only if I put the latency to a ridiculous amount to the right. I look forward to your help, Kindest regards, Alex

As far as echo you'll need that on if your playing a synth with a controller/keyboard.

As far as latency you need to give all your specs first on your entire system; like I have on my post for us to help.

    Cheers,

Cheers Wave. I think it may have something to do with the usb audio interface setting, but I really haven't a clue on this one, I feel like a numpty. Anyway, Desktop Windows 7 64 Intel I7 930 @4.09ghz 12GB Corsair 4gbx3 Asus Xesse sound card Hardware Roland Quad Capture [new] Alex

that echo button is supposed to be on.
you audio interface should have latency controls, its in preference, drivers.
you need to move the slider away from the safe side and more geared toward performance.

Hi guys, Its defintely got to do with the latency and driver settings.. I am wanting to run audio through the Quad Capture, [external usb], but I can only select MME driver to get access to the quad capture options?? Here is a print screen. These work ok, but I expected to get better latency? Alex

Under Recording and Playback you need to select ASIO or WDM as the driver mode.  ASIO will probably give you lower latency.  Then on the Device Settings you set the latency lower.  If you're using ASIO you'll need to open the ASIO settings panel to set the latency (there will be a button on the page in place of the Profile button, to do so).

Hey guys. I sorted the addictive drums through a variety of trial and error. Still no imputs for the Amplitube :/. Working fine with If someone could show me their roland settings [sample rate and Audio buffer size] That would be perfect. Alex

Amplitube is an fx plugin that takes an audio input so whichever audio track you put it on will either have to have a live input eg a guitar or an already recorded audio track
If you want to hear what effect it's producing you'll need input echo turned on.
