Timeline markers - Please stay put!
One small little nitpick that has bothered me is time line markers, If I insert a marker on an timeline beat, which has lets say a midi clip starting there, if I move that midi clip somewhere later in the track the marker also copies over, which ends up leaving a complete mess, infact it got so bad at one stage I couldnt even see the timeline! Locking the marker doesnt seem to work either, does anyone know how to stop it copying with the actual audio/midi clip? Cian

You need to open the advanced paste dialogue which can be done by pressing Alt+Ctrl+V (you may need to have something copied in the clipboard first) then deselect "Markers" from the paste options. That should sort it for you.

When you move, copy or whatever you have to choose not to copy the markers. You have to uncheck markers is the little pop up menu.

Wave FastBickerBoy is just that to fast (faster then me) Makes a change, besides which your method is arguably more valid in that it doesn't copy the markers in the first place, although either way will achieve the same result of course.

Something different but similar, when working with changing tempos you can lock your markers to SMPTE (real time) that way they stay in place when jacking the tempo around. A little different situation but handy when you say Mark spots in a film cue, then jack your tempo map around and you need your markers to stay locked to real time, Right click the marker and Lock to SMPTE.
