More Strange Synth/MIDI Issues

In trying to analyze a bizarre issue, I checked MIDI channel assignments for a synth. The synth has (up to now) been playing three tracks with three different channels. Now it is only playing one. I checked the MIDI channel assignments in the Inspector. They all say NONE. I open the dialog box, pick the port and channel, and close it—and it immediately goes back to NONE. (In case this matter, it is the third of the three tracks that is playing, but when I mute it, the others still do not play, so it is not a note-stealing problem.) What is going on here?

Did you by any chance clone the original track to make the other two?  Maybe that causes something like that.  At least it does with me when it comes to muting and soloing.

I'm pretty sure none means the same as Midi Omni - if that helps any.
