Send Level in Track View?
When I add a send to an instrument in Track View, I expect to see a Send Level control within the track parameters. However, I don't see one. I can create an envelope for the send, and adjust the send level via that, and I can open the inspect and adjust the send level there, but I would prefer a control within the Track header itself. Is that not possible?

I would check your widgets (track manager settings). Pressing shift + left/right arrow will cycle through your available presets. You can change and create your own via the manager. Video on that subject here

I usually leave my widget view to "All". You might have to expand your track header to see everything.

I had the track manager set to "All", and dragged the track bottom down so that there was more than enough room to see a Send widget if it were there. I wonder... does Sonar X1 still use an .ini file to define which widgets appear in which view? Maybe for some reason my .ini file is overriding the "All" list... Strange.

Is the send visible in Console View? You need to start eliminating the obvious, then, what you're left with must be the culprit.

When I have "All" selected, I don't see the send level widget. However, when I have "Mix" selected (and some of the other view presets), I *do* see it. Weird. Could this because I'm using a Simple Instrument Track, and "All" for some reason shows only a subset?

Could this because I'm using a Simple Instrument Track, and "All" for some reason shows only a subset? Have a look at the Track Control Manager. That is the behaviour you'd see if you have edited your "All" preset. That's not something you could do accidentally though.
