Anyone used the ESI audio interface ?

One of my local store sells the ESI audio interface, wondering anyone used one ?

I've heard PCI/PCIe card has lower latency, is that true ?

Thanks!

Slot interfaces used to run better but that was when computers didn't have enough CPU - FW and USB could drag on performance.  And the drivers were better since they had been around longer.  Such is not such a concern anymore, tho slots are still used for massive data transfers in pro setups.  For most users, USB and FW are perfectly fine.

I heard stuff done on the Julia and it sounded great, and that was years ago.  I doubt if it has regressed.  Most interfaces these days sound perfectly fine in their conversion.  You really have to go up the food chain to hear much difference, and that ain't the converter chips, but the analog ins and outs.
