No midi signal

I am having a problem recording midi with my setup. I tried for a while last night with no success to record a midi line for a song. I have an activity light on my motu traveler and on the activity light from sonar as far as input, but never could get any movement on the midi track. I go from my keyboard to motu traveller to sonar. Any ideas? I tried shutting everything off and restarting, resetting my keyboard and trying different settings on Sonar. Any other ideas? Thanks.

    Does your Midi track have the right device as its input? I don't think you'll see anything on the track meter unless it's armed.

    Is the Motu set up as a midi device in Sonar. What synth are you playing? Open it up via the synth rack, which should do the routing for you so you know it'll be right. Check the midi input just in case. Is 'input echo' on?

    Just got my new motu microlite and it seems to be ok. Thanks for the ideas though!
