First cup of coffee

Just now enjoying my first cup of coffee.... it.s 12:30pm east coast time.

I came into the kitchen expecting my morning coffee to be brewing..... but as I opened the bedroom doors, the familiar aroma of coffee freshly brewed was strangely missing from the air.

The coffee pot had the light lit that indicated brewing was occurring, or had occurred within the past hour..... however, the pot was empty.

Surely my daughter had not suddenly taken a liking to coffee in teh mornings and finished every drop? Stranger things could have happened..... but no, a check under the lid showed the coffee to be bone dry.... check to see if I forgot to add water to the tank.... nope.... still full..... conclusion.....

Looks like the coffee maker died.

At lunch.... sufficiently awake to think.... My other daughter's stuff from college is in the front room...and somewhere in that pile should be a coffee maker.  Found it after looking for 5 minutes.....

Now enjoying the first cup..... time to visit the store to get a new one..... tonight.

I tend to be a morning, and on occasion after dinner coffee drinker.  I try to avoid the caffeinated blends after 7pm.

I have worked with and known people who drank it all day long..... military officers and higher e-ranks tended to fall into that category.

I'm at the office right now, where corporate coffee is considered to be more sacrosanct than a Constitutional Ammendment.  I've only had about 4 cups this morning.  I need a refill.

I'm finishing my first cup as I'm reading this.  It's been too warm lately to enjoy any until today.  Mmm...

I worked along side a guy who drank one pot before work, two pots at work and and one pot after work (that's what he said).   I've seen for myself that he did drink two full pots to himself at work everyday.  He was kind of a high strung guy now that I think about it.

    Cheers,
